VTC KIDS CAMP 2024

Our programs are available to all, regardless of financial means. We offer payment plans as well as financial assistance on a case by case basis. 

 At VTC Kids Day Camp, campers learn basic musical theater techniques to communicate characters, feelings, and stories, which will increase their focus and exercise their imaginations. They will develop trust through cooperation and collaboration – learning to accept and build on each other's creative ideas in an atmosphere of DREAM: Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Activism and Mentorship. These skills will serve them onstage and off!

VTC Kids Day Camp meets weekdays at our theater in Montclair (180 Bloomfield Avenue, 2nd floor)

4 WEEKS: July 7 - August 4, 2025  -  Weekdays 9:00 am - 3:30 pm  -  Tuition $1600

This session starts with a three day skill-sharpening mini-week to prepare campers for the intensive to follow. 

A TYPICAL CAMP DAY INCLUDES:

  • Morning Meeting to create a sense of community within our ensemble

  • Music rehearsal 

  • Choreography rehearsal 

  • Theater games 

  • Free time & lunch

  • Scene work and acting classes

  • Hands on design workshops that focus on set, costume, and prop design 

  • Character Biography Writing exercises

  • Occasional afternoon dance party, movie time, or specialized craft.
